Broccoli And Barley Soup


The yummy flavour of this soup comes with a promise of effortless weight-loss in a short span. Just have a mug full of it whenever your cravings hit you.

 

Ingredients:

4 cups broccoli florets
14 cup chopped onions
1 small carrot diced
1 celery, finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
12 cup pearled barley, cooked
5 cups vegetable broth
1 canned tomatoes
4 cloves garlic, minced
14 teaspoon dried marjoram (a cooking spice made of herbs)
Salt and pepper

Method:

Cook onion in olive oil over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until soft. Add vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and add celery and carrots along with broccoli florets. Cover and let it boil, until carrots and broccoli florets are tender. Add cooked barley, canned tomatoes, garlic and marjoram. Let it simmer for another minute or two. Season it with salt and pepper.
