
Tomato And Moong Daal Soup

If the basic tomato soup gets a little boring, try mixing it with the moong daal this time. Tomato and moong (yellow grams) fat-burning soup will help you lose weight and gain in lots of energy.
Ingredients:
5 cups roughly chopped tomatoes
14 cup yellow moong daal (split yellow gram), washed and drained
1 teaspoon low-fat butter
12 cup finely chopped onions
2 teaspoon sugar
12 cup low-fat milk, 99.7% fat-free
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch)

In a non-stick kadhai, add 4 cups water, tomatoes and moong daal. Cook on a medium flame till 10 minutes. Keep stirring. Remove from heat and keep aside to cool. Blend in a mixture till its smooth. Now heat some butter in a pan and sauté the onions till brown in colour. Add the tomato-moong daal mixture, sugar, low-fat milk, salt and pepper and mix well. Bring to a boil, while stirring occasionally and simmer for 5 minutes. Have it hot with toasted bread.
